General Mills Inc Customer Account Lead II - Carbe Diem in Minneapolis, Minnesota

OVERVIEW: Carbe Diem is the leading brand of G-Works, the Venture Studio withing North American Retail at General Mills. G-Works has two goals: 1) Build new brands that help solve the biggest human food problems facing the country today 2) Test and learn new experimental approaches to help the company innovate. We are seeking a Customer Account Lead II(CAL II) to be our frontline salesperson to propel Carbe Diem into scale across retail, eCommerce, foodservice, and alternative channels. Using entrepreneurial skills and an experimental mindset, you will be an instrumental part of the explosive growth needed to support this disruptive business opportunity for General Mills. The ideal candidate is someone eager for a start-up experience (lots of flexibility to wear multiple hats, work on a combination of big-picture strategy and detailed execution, accountability to a small team where no task is too big or too small for success), who has sales acumen and can strategically operate with grit, tenacity, and positivity. Main Job Accountabilities: Develop and own strategic partnerships with customers throughout Retail, Foodservice, eCommerce and other emerging channels to expand the Carbe Diem footprint Coordinate customer strategies and foster strong working relationships with General Mills sales and marketing/sales team members of customers Help integrate Carbe Diem targeted, omnichannel and/or retailer-specific marketing plans to generate differential trials and results Work with our sales partners and customers on trade strategy, trade setup, and trade execution as part of our launch plans Leverage startup/entrepreneurial methodologies to move Carbe Diem through commercialization, into scaling the business Implement and utilize a suite of capabilities to maximize RNS and deliver KPIs Integrate customer data and knowledge to build post promotional & trade investment analysis that assesses past performance and drives future recommendations Participate in the design of promotional programs and coordinate their implementation with key customers Promo Planning support and customer portal submissions Leverage syndicated and customer-portal data as well as Tableau reporting to provide input as a partner with the supply chain team members to establish an accurate monthly demand estimate Maintain annual planning documents across customers Partner across the enterprise and leverage available tools, subject matter experts, and stakeholders to address business challenges Lead the development of customer presentations Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree required Minimum 2 years of relevant industry experience in sales, account management, trade funding, category management or other relevant experience Successful demonstration of analytical skills using various data sources (e.g., Nielsen, IRI, CPM, sales data) Must be proficient in software packages (Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint) & internal systems (Trade Planning) Preferred Qualifications: Willingness to relocate for future GMI career opportunities 3+ years relevant industry experience Familiarity/proficiency in internal systems (Trade Planner & SRM tools) ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS: We are open to 100% remote candidates based in the US, with occasional travel based on business needs. International relocation or international remote working arrangements (outside of the US) will not be considered. Salary Range The salary range for this position is $79500.00 - $119400.00 / Annually. The salary range for this role represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, educations, skills, work experience, certifications, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
