Lunda Construction builds some of the upper Midwest’s most challenging infrastructure projects, and we are looking for an experienced, meticulous Project Controls CPM Scheduler to join our Operations Team in the Greater Minneapolis/St. Paul area. As a Scheduler, you will be primarily responsible for creating, managing, and integrating our schedules for all projects, and provide scheduling support for Estimating, Production, and Risk Management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with the Estimating Department to create preliminary schedules prior to bid

  • Coordinate with the Project Management Teams to produce P6 CPM Schedules for awarded projects

  • Coordinate with Project Management Teams to update schedules monthly, or as needed, and submit update reports to Clients

  • Interpret plan sets and contract documents; and communicate with Estimating and Project Management Teams about schedule compliance

  • Assist Project Teams monitor and document project progress to identify and communicate potential issues or conflicts and help mitigate those issues

  • If needed, identify delays, and produce and review time impact analyses and delay claims

  • Work closely with project management team in developing project reporting to aid in analyzing the status of projects and company program to improve project success

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field required

  • Five (5) or more years’ scheduling experience

  • Previous heavy civil infrastructure industry experience, such as civil, structures, or heavy highway construction is preferred

  • Experience in bridge work is highly beneficial

  • Three (3) or more years related scheduling experience utilizing Primavera P6

  • Experience with data analytics using Excel, or equivalent

  • Strong creative problem solving and analytical skills

  • Proven leadership ability to communicate and collaborate with various teams within the company, Clients, and various stakeholders

  • Ability to mentor, train, and develop Project Engineers, Superintendents and Project Managers in schedule updates and reporting
