Business Development Enablement Manager
The POWER Engineers Advanced Utilities Solutions (AUS) Division’s Business Development (BD) Department is currently accepting applications for a BD Enablement Manager. This is a professional-level position that reports to the Director of BD. This role is envisioned as a key strategist and coordinator, designed to ensure our activities across business development, proposals, and marketing are not just aligned but also optimized for impact and efficiency. The BD Enablement Manager will lead a group that coordinates the production and delivery of proposals, qualification packages, and marketing materials to respond to client requests. This role requires the ability to lead, develop and organize proposal and related content efforts, provide Technical Writing support for projects on an as-needed basis and produce high-quality processes that support working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment for all AUS Departments. The BD Enablement Manager will also be the Division’s liaison to the Corporate Marketing Business Unit (MBU) to facilitate strong coordination, communication, and collaboration between AUS and MBU.

Summary of Roles and Responsibilities:
Proposal Coordination:
Serve as the direct supervisor for AUS’ proposal coordinators, including:
Manage requests for proposals and other assignments to proposal coordinators, assigning based on workload and capability
Work with the Director of BD regarding personnel issues, including hiring, training, mentoring and, if needed, professional development plans and terminations
Prepare direct reports’ performance reviews/goals and objectives
Oversee/review timecards, expense reports, and out-of-office requests
Manage the day-to-day activities of the AUS proposal coordinator team, including but not limited to:
The development of proposals, RFx responses and statements of qualifications
Facilitating Go/No Go meetings, proposal kick-off meetings and other milestone meetings
Coordinate with subcontractors/teaming partners on proposal preparation
Proactively maintain resume, opportunity, and project data in our CRM database
Write project descriptions and resumes, including interviews with Subject Matter Experts
Assure all information is accurate and in compliance with all RFI/RFP response requirements per brand guidelines
Assemble and package proposals/documents from inception through final product
Assemble the writings of many collaborators into a single cohesive voice throughout a document/deliverable without impacting the overall technical content or message
Work with Director of BD and other divisions’ proposal leadership to streamline the overall proposal processes
Understand business objectives, priorities, and sales/marketing strategy, especially as they relate to the proposal process
Coordinate with AUS team on the quality process to ensure appropriate reviews are completed to ensure report content integrity
BD Administration:
Support accurate CRM data entry
Propose improvements for process, reporting and content management
Provide strategic oversight for sales process optimization
Assess current department applications and operations to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities
Plan, manage, and execute in-person events, including agendas, logistics, content, promotion, and post-event analysis
Work with AUS Leadership to organize and maintain the AUS SharePoint site
Marketing Liaison:
Act as the liaison between AUS and Marketing.
Coordinate AUS participation in events, trade shows, and conferences.
Provide input on marketing direction, budget, and content creation.
Assist with website content updates.
Required Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree, with preference for majors in English, technical writing, journalism, or similar
5+ years of experience with grant writing or technical writing OR 3+ coordinating competitive proposals for professional services/consulting firms
Proven success in managing cross-functional teams
Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills using the English language across a variety of media
Proficient with Microsoft 365, MS Office, Adobe and CRM systems
Understanding of client relationship databases, specifically Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CE)
Interest in AI content generation and strategy best practices and challenges
Willingness to put in the required amount of time (including overtime as needed) to complete project tasks on time
Willingness and desire to learn/obtain new skills and abilities to improve AUS operations
Desired Education/Experience:
Advanced degrees and training
Experience working with an ISO-9001-compliant Quality Management System
Engineering consulting/technical or energy industry experience
Expertise of SharePoint, MS Teams, Power BI, and using Copilot or other AI Chatbots

Base Salary Range: $100K-$150K
The range for this position is being displayed in compliance with all state and local regulations. Salaries are set based on a number of factors to include an individual's job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education. This means that no two candidates are alike. The range provided above does not include additional compensation such as bonus, health benefits, vacation, 401(k) match, etc.
