Candidates may contribute to direct teaching and student mentoring in varied areas of content expertise or program needs such as clinical education, professional development, clinical education, ethics, or other areas, as well as coordinating content experts in courses where needs exist. 15%-20% service: All faculty contribute to committee and professional service, faculty governance of the DPT program, as well as the Department, Medical School, and University. Experienced faculty are expected to provide mentorship to junior faculty and provide leadership within the broader University. 10% scholarship: The faculty member will contribute to the scholarly mission of the Division, through an active commitment to excellence in a defined area of clinical scholarship. Faculty are expected to have a defined scholarly agenda in their selected area of clinical expertise. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications The position requires a physical therapy degree with eligibility for Minnesota licensure. An earned DPT is required and clinical board certification is beneficial. Preference will be given to applicants with prior academic experience; a history of scholarly publications, strong inter-personal skills, a team-based philosophy, and commitment and passion for the profession of physical therapy and its ongoing advancement to benefit care provision and patient outcomes for the diverse populations we serve. Candidates should have a demonstrated capacity for academic collaboration.
