Robert Half Accounts Receivable Clerk in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Description We are on the lookout for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in the service industry, located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. You will be managing client accounts receivable, which involves tasks such as processing electronic invoices, managing payments, and regular communication with clients and vendors. This position provides an excellent opportunity for those who excel in problem-solving and have the ability to maintain composure in a high-pressure environment.

Responsibilities:

• Processing invoices received electronically and manually entered invoices

• Consolidating vendor invoices for client billing

• Managing client-specific payment terms and cash applications

• Communicating with clients regarding past-due invoices

• Completing an account analysis for each client

• Identifying and resolving open issues related to accounts receivable

• Notifying suppliers about the delivery of unauthorized products for which they will not be paid

• Meeting and communicating with the direct supervisor regarding invoicing and payment issues

• Maintaining positive client relationships and resolving imbalanced accounts. Requirements • Applicants must possess a minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent. A degree in finance, business, or a related field is preferred.

• Proven experience in an Accounts Receivable role is essential.

• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

• Strong knowledge in Accounts Receivable (AR) practices and procedures is required.

• Excellent numerical, financial, and analytical skills.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.

• Detail-oriented with an ability to maintain accurate and organized records.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders.

• Understanding of data privacy standards and financial regulations.

• Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.

• Demonstrated problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.

• Willingness to continue learning and improving in the role.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
