Job Description: PCC Airfoils, located in Minerva, OH, is hiring for a full-time Foundry Production position.
SUMMARY:
Operates or assists in the operation of vacuum furnaces which includes furnace set-up, loading molds, carrying metal charges and removing ceramic shell material from castings.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
[Furnace Operator - Operates vacuum furnace which includes setting up the furnace for operation and loading molds that can weigh up to 110 lbs. (molds over 50 lbs. require lift assistance). Loads metal charges weighing in excess of 90 lbs. (charges over 50 lbs. require lift assistance). Monitors temperature, flow, power, pressure gauges and makes adjustments to meet process specification. Charts results from each heat on control chart and fills out heat log. Ability to reason and troubleshoot issues, notify foreman and/or process engineering of any process variations. Has to manually clean the vacuum furnace at certain intervals. ]{times="" new="" roman""=""}
