Mahoning Valley Sanitation District Chief Engineer in Mineral Ridge, Ohio
The Chief Engineer manages day to day operational and tactical aspects of multiple construction projects; identifies, researches, and recommends project needs, plans, and scope of work. Drafts requests for proposals; assists in selecting contractors; oversees and monitors work performed by contractors to ensure that contract plans, scope and specifications are being followed. Oversees the Project Manager and assists in project inspections; interprets, contracts, resolves conflicts, and negotiates contract changes as appropriate; reviews and recommends invoices for payment. Tracks and controls construction schedule and associated costs to achieve completion of projects within time and monies allocated. Is responsible for the district budgeting and funding allocations. Manage All construction & perform constructability review. Must have stellar communication skills, problem-solving and critical thinking skills to manage complex projects, assess and address complications, and anticipate/resolve potential roadblocks before they occur. Years of Experience Required 5-7 years Minimum Education Required Professional Engineer/ Ohio EPA Class I Water Supply Operator Certification Degree/Cert/License Required Bachelor's Must have valid driver's license. Must be able to pass physical with drug screening and background check.
