Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Assistant Project Manager. In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for providing support to the strategic and operational initiatives led by the Project Management team on the Long Island Campus. Responsible for assisting Project Managers in leading and facilitating operational and clinical initiative project meetings including agenda development, creation of project plans and following up on deliverables. Assists department leadership and the Project Management team in planning project activities to ensure deliverables and other work is produced in a timely manner and in accordance with established expectations.

Job Responsibilities:

    • Performs other related and cross-functional duties as assigned.
    • Responsible for administrative aspects of projects and initiativesincluding convening meetings, taking meeting notes, monitoring project progress, providing detailed updates to project managers or other stakeholders, and organizing project meetings and logistics.
    • Coordinates the work of individuals assigned to the project team for specific task assignments.
    • Monitor project deliverables and timelines, notify the leadership when issues arise, and take corrective action, as needed.
    • Collaborates with external partners to implement deliverables using available analytics and technical resources.
    • Organize and facilitate project-related meetings, including the creation of agendas and preparation of meeting materials.
    • Documents activities and develops feedback reports to communicate project findings and activities to collaborators and others key stakeholders.
    • Develops reports and other deliverables as assigned.
    • Initiates and maintains communications with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Provides regular written and oral reports of activity on project or initiative progress.
    • Provides support in problem solving and project planning/coordination to ensure efficient service.
    • Assists in the development and execution of stated goals and objectives set by the project lead.
    • Coordinates the compilation, tracking, and review of all meeting notes according to the deadlines laid out in project plans

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelor's Degree required
2+ years of relevant progressive experience in an operational or strategic planning role.
Experience with data analysis.
Knowledge of project management tools, methods, and best practices.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint
Excellent written and oral communication skills applicable to a wide variety of audiences.
Ability to exercise discretion, good independent judgment, and independent thinking in selecting the optimal course of action.

Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in healthcare, business administration or a related field preferred.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $64,382.25 - $80,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
