Weatherford Drilling Analytics Engineer - Real-Time Operation Center in Mina Abdullah, Kuwait

Job Overview

Drilling Analytics Engineer - RTOC (Real-Time Operations Centre), which is a centralized facility used in the oil and gas industry to monitor and control drilling operations remotely.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate a commitment to Organization & Customer HSE policy, and local regulations/legislation.

  • Share expertise with peers and other domain experts sustaining an open collaborative environment focused on solving complex problems.

  • Mentoring, teambuilding skills, ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technology trends.

  • Demonstrate ability to effectively work in cross-functional multi-cultural teams, meet deadlines.

  • Perform Drilling Performance and Analytics Service delivery.

  • Control quality of drilling performance KPIs computations performed by Drilling Analytics Service.

  • Identify and generate Invisible Lost Time reports and measures for corrective actions to monetize ILT and reduce Time and Cost.

  • Generate various reports, trends (Drilling Performance, Actual vs Planned, ILT) on-demand basis to share with all stakeholders.

  • Oversee Drilling operation monitoring to ensure all parameters, data used in reporting, generating trends are valid and accurate.

  • Track the actual performance on the new wells vs the agreed targets fed back to the rig on a daily basis to recognize and encourage good performance and to ask them to focus on areas that are behind the targets.

  • Support achieves a consistent performance and eliminate the variations which are the Invisible Lost Time.

  • KPI Generation for selected phases of the well construction process.

  • Assist to analyse the Time v Depth planned vs actual.

  • Able to relate to rig-site personnel at all levels.

  • Strong computer skills

  • Good presentation skills

  • Fluent in English verbal & written

Qualifications:

  • University Degree Minimum: BS degree level in Drilling and/or Geology

  • Minimum of four (4-7) years’ experience in:

  • Drilling Engineering on field and Drilling software applications

  • Experience of Drilling Performance Analysis

  • Real Time Drilling Optimization

  • Drilling Well Planning

  • Drilling operations executions (procedures of connections, MWD testing, circulation, reaming, surveys, etc.)

  • Strong experience in Oil and Gas Software
