JOB REQUIREMENTS: Krueger Bearings is growing and is looking for a mechanically inclined Utility Operator. Our work is intricate with short-running jobs focusing on the manufacturing of Babbitt bearings as well as machined components with tight tolerances. PRIMARY FUNCTION: Sets up, adjusts and operates saws to cut metal stock, Deburring parts for final inspection, Machine Operations where tolerances and finish requirements are not difficult to maintain. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: Saw stock to correct length based on job. Deburr parts to remove all metal burrs prior to part being final inspected. Set up and operate machines such as manual lathes. Works from part drawings, specifications and job layouts. Uses calipers, micrometers, indicators, to set up and check work. Works under general supervision receiving; instructions and guidance on operating and tooling problems, difficulties, special applications and new work; work is subject to process and final inspection and check. EXPERIENCE: Mechanically inclined individual will do well in this role. Must be able to read a tape measure and take proper measurements. Understands or can learn machining fundamentals, shop arithmetic, print reading. Individual with a desire to learn and move up in the company to become a high-end machinist is preferred.
