Description
We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, with a focus on month-end processes and balance sheet reconciliations. You will also be expected to manage accounts payable and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department
• Manage month-end processes, including balance sheet reconciliations
• Oversee accounts payable
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives
• Utilize Excel and ERP systems effectively
• Perform data analysis for decision-making
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action
• Maintain accurate customer credit records
• Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently
Requirements • Possess a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role as a Senior Accountant
• Proficient in Month End Close, Monthly Account Reconciliation, and Monthly Accruals
• Ability to conduct Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliation and Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation
• Skilled in using Excel Formulas and Microsoft Excel
• Experience with Abila MIP software is desirable
• Knowledge of VLOOKUP and Pivot Table functions in Excel
• CPA or MBA qualifications are preferable
• Previous experience in Public Accounting is an advantage
• Proficiency in Data Analysis
• Experience working within Educational Institutions is beneficial
