Ascension Health RN-Wound Care in Milwaukee, Wisconsin

We Are Hiring

RN - Full time - Wound Care - Columbia St. Mary's Hospital, Milwaukee, WI

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 0800-1630. Every 4th/5th weekend, 0745-1115

We are looking for a Wound RN that preferably has a WOCN/WON (Wound, Ostomy, Continence Nurse or Wound Ostomy Nurse) certification!! Is that you? Apply today and we can talk about this great opportunity!!

What You Will Do

Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.

  • Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.

  • Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.

  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.

  • Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 2 Months (60 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.

  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensure from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing OR current home state license if considered multi-state/Compact State.

  • Certification specializing in Wound Care credentialed from the National Alliance of Wound Care and Ostomy (NAWCCB) preferred.

Education:

  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.

  • BSN preferred.

Work Experience:

  • Some critical care experience preferred.
