Shift Expectations: Average 3 - 4 shifts per week, alternating Saturday, off Sundays Operational Hours: 4:00AM - 9:30PM, closed Sundays Shifts are usually 10 - 12hrs long, some overtime First 9 - 12weeks of employment are spent in hemodialysis training DaVita Outpatient RN Job Requirements Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice; Graduate Nurse pre-licensure available in some locations A desire to deliver care in an empathetic, compassionate way. Excellent communication skills to listen and communicate with patients and teammates Associates Degree in Nursing (A.D.N) from accredited school of nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N);three-year diploma from accredited diploma program may be substituted for nursing degree Registered Nurse Day to Day 30%: Supervises and performs direct patient care including but not limited to taking and monitoring vital signs, initiation and termination of dialysis, documentation, physical assessment of patients and patient treatments, taking and transcription of physician\'s orders, drawing and documentation of ordered laboratory work 20%: Provides dialysis therapy, including but not limited to formulating dialysis plan per physician orders, weight and rate of ultrafiltration, verifying safety measures are in place and complied with, administering medications or other appropriate treatments, discontinuing dialysis according to established procedure, documenting all activity appropriately 20%: Analyzes patient assessments, laboratory data and, when concerns are noted, brings issues to the attention of the physician. Notes signs of trauma, patients\' general physical and mental condition, reviews dialysis orders, documents observations in patient medical records. Communicates all emergencies, patient life-threatening complications and related incidents to supervisor, Medical Director, Regional Operations Director, Facility or Group Facility...
