Responsibilities What You\'ll Do Underwrite conventional, FHA/VA, and construction loans according to UWCU and investor rules. Review loan documents for accuracy and completeness, gathering needed info for analysis. Ensure property evaluations meet investor standards and address concerns effectively. Advise the mortgage team on loan adjustments while maintaining risk/pricing policy. Apply sound judgment to determine compensating factors in borderline cases. Stay current on evolving residential underwriting guidelines. Propose underwriting or production procedure updates. Communicate missing information for incomplete loan applications to relevant staff, and educate on necessary modifications for approval and best financial products.
