Position Summary Under the direction of the Director, Clinical and Research Systems independently provides significant and high-level administrative leadership in planning, implementing, evaluating and maintaining solutions to meet the Information Technology (IT) needs for VBRI, as well as contribute to future strategic positioning of VBRI. Partner closely with other VBRI leadership to lead solutions, application portfolio planning and management activities. Manage and provide technical oversight to the IS technical and support resources that report to this role. Ensure adherence of that team to required quality and regulatory policies and practices. As part of the IS management team, ensure coordination of cross-functional resources in IS for service line projects, as well as act as a partner in forming and refining IS policies and processes to meet changing Institutional and Research needs. Manage relationships at all levels of business, perform business analysis as needed, and manage initiatives and solution implementations. Familiarity with various solutions used in a Life Sciences research environment is preferred. This role requires prior experience in an organization that was part of a Life Sciences domain. This role may have 1-3 direct reports in the future.
