Reporting Structure: The HR Benefits Specialist reports to the HR Manager. Key Responsibilities: Oversee all employee benefit programs, including health and life insurance, retirement plans, leave of absence policies, PTO, worker\'s compensation, and tracks leave requests Ensures benefits enrollments are completed timely and accurately Educates staff on benefits and resolving issues Coordinates annual benefits open enrollment Fosters and maintains relationships with benefit carriers Handles benefits enrollments, changes and notify payroll of updates Assists with required annual audits Provides seasonal support to other HR members when requested or needed Performs other activities as assigned Qualifications & Skills Needed: Bachelor\'s degree, preferably in Human Resources, Business or another related field Minimum of 3-5 years of HR experience overseeing company benefits preferred Additional experience in any of the following areas welcomed: payroll, recruitment, pre- hire activities, data entry, compliance Basic knowledge of HR best practices, all state and federal employment laws and regulations Ability to carry out tasks accurately in a timely manner, juggle priorities and meet deadlines Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality Essential soft skills - communication, organization, problem solving, service-oriented attitude Technical skills - Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Suite; Familiarity with Powerschool and UKGReady HRIS system a plus.
