The Factory Operation Director oversees management of all areas of manufacturing to produce products and direct activities so that approved products are manufactured on schedule and within quality standards and cost objectives. The candidate is expected to be an expert authority in their technical field, challenge conventional thinking in a cooperative way, navigate start-up challenges by being able to function in a variety of different technical and social environments with minimal supervision, driven by continuous improvement and product quality metrics and possess methodical critical thinking skills. Job Responsibilities: Responsible for leading and managing Production Operations by implementing profitable programs and processes to optimize manufacturing work flow. Responsible for developing people; process improvement; cost controls, quality monitoring and improvements; Assists upper management in setting goals that promote company growth Oversees daily activity of the team and manages team workloads in order to meet goals and deadlines Create, review, approve, and implement plans to achieve goals for budgets and spending control, labor efficiency, material efficiency, technology improvements, and customer service goals. Reviews activity reports and financial statements to determine progress and status in attaining objectives and revises objectives and plans in accordance with current conditions. Establishes long and short-term goals and objectives for Production Operations personnel. Develop an annual budget and ensure that departmental expenses are within budget, including head count. Establishes strong partnering relationships with cross-functional management to ensure alignment of company objectives and effective cross-functional processes. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and work instructions. Ensure associates are trained and compliant with procedures and instructions. Insure that all corporate, regulatory, safety and production policies and procedures are followed Ensures customer requirements are met in a timely manner Promotes and enforces safety in the workplace Oversees manufacturing functions Manages stock and inventory Works closely with other departments to promote efficient factory optimization Identifies improvement areas and plans and implements systems to boost company effectiveness and reduce costs Manages internal and external service suppliers Executes plans designed to meet company goals Foxconn provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability or genetics. A minimum of 5 years of experience managing a significant segment of a large manufacturer or the entire operation of a smaller manufacturer. Experience in Medical Industry is preferred. Experience in implementation and application of "lean" manufacturing methods; should have a strong background in efficiency improvement. Experience in defining metrics for controls, production planning, forecasting, scheduling, planning of budgets {costs and capital expenditures (ROI-justification)}; analyze costs and variances against established standards and set necessary corrective actions. Ability to promote the organization, its vision and reinforce brand awareness and visibility. Strategically-minded individual that is able to contribute to Company business strategy and representing needs/capabilities of Operations. Ability to recruit and retain top talent Ability to motivate team members through strong leadership and effective communication and presentation skills Proficient in project and performance management Technical Capacity with ability to provide agile, creative solutions to optimize the manufacturing of company products.
