The Buyer will be responsible for taking purchase requests from various departments and get price quotes from suppliers. The Buyer will be responsible for creating purchase order tracking systems, alerting management when orders have been filled and invoices from vendors have been issued, contacting suppliers to schedule deliveries or to discuss shortages or missed deliveries, answering vendor questions and providing them with additional order documentation as needed. Job Responsibilities: Estimating and establishing cost parameters and budgets for purchases Maintain accurate records of purchases and pricing Create and maintain good relationships with vendors/suppliers Making professional decisions in a fast-paced environment Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and other important data Review and analyze all vendors/suppliers, supply, and price options Develops plans for purchasing equipment, services and supplies Negotiate the best deal for pricing and supply contracts Ensure that the ordered supplies remain in the product Approved Vendor List Maintain and update list of suppliers and their qualifications, delivery times, and potential future development Working with team members and manager to complete duties as needed Deliver a weekly purchase order report to management that indicates the vendor invoice number for all closed purchase orders Assist the Supply Chain Manager with maintaining proper inventory levels of materials used on a regular basis to ensure that all deliveries satisfy the assigned purchase orders and report any back-ordered or missing products Establish reliable lines of contact with the manufacturing management team to ensure that all production material purchase orders are accurate Insure that all corporate, regulatory, safety and production policies and procedures are followed Foxconn provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability or genetics. Experience in the Medical Industry with familiarity of standards ISO 13485:2016 is a plus Solid knowledge and understanding of procurement processes, policy, and systems Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel) Comprehensive understanding of industry standard purchase order software platforms Ability to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions Ability to negotiate, establish, and administer contracts Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently with an accurate and precise attention to details Ability to work well with management and staff at all levels Goal-oriented, organized team player.
