TEKsystems AV/Conference Room Support Specialist in Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Description

Our client is looking for a AV/Conference Room specialist to join their Milwaukee team. They will be working with other end user support specialists, while also supporting their internal end users. This is a contract opportunity with a great chance to get extended.

The Audio Visual / Conference Room Technician's role is to provide all support needed to the end users utilizing the conference rooms. A good example of a normal responsibility for this person would be confirming if a conference room will be needed, understand the specs needed for the upcoming meeting, setting up the room correctly, doing a dry run for the presentation, then being prepared to assist the presentation if needed. They will mainly be supporting partners & other attorneys. The person will also troubleshoot problem areas (in person, by telephone, or via email) in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end-user assistance where required.

Experience/great familiarity/Knowledge of conference room technology, Microsoft teams, other video conferencing technology is a requested. Specifying this type of experience will make you stand out compared to other candidates.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee the setup, testing, maintenance, asset management, operation, and tear down of audiovisual (AV) and videoconference (VTC) equipment; (e.g., video data projection systems, computers, audio- and videoconference equipment, microphones, video cameras, audio systems, and operation of integrated AV systems)

• Provide best effort assistance to fulfill any audiovisual technical requirements as assigned. This includes communicating to the appropriate technicians in each office to ensure that the video conferences are setup properly.

• Schedule video conferencing for all offices.

• Maintain the process used to create trouble tickets, customer issue resolution logs, and asset management.

• Execute all aspects of videoconference support including call set up, end user training, troubleshooting, and follow through on escalation of issues.

• Provide consultation and education to all levels of end users on presentation technologies.

• Perform regular preventive maintenance checks (e.g., either report or address issues such as cable management issues, safety standards noncompliance, etc.).

• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Working knowledge of the operation and troubleshooting of AV and videoconferencing related technology (e.g., Cisco VTC equipment, Teams, Webex, Zoom)

• Foundational technical understanding of related communications technologies (i.e. IT, data networking, telecommunications, communications cabling, etc.)

• Excellent organizational, interpersonal relations, and communication skills required

• Foundational AV and presentation technologies experience

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, Outlook)

• Experience working in a fast-paced conference centric environment

• Work well under pressure; team player and good problem solver

• Self-motivated independent thinker with the ability to coordinate many issues at once

• Analytical, strong attention to detail

• Knowledge and experience with Adobe Creative Cloud Suite is a plus

Additional Desktop/IT Support qualifications are as follows:

•■Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred.

•■2-3 years' experience in personal computer service and repair required.

•■Windows 10 experience required.

•■Experience with various mobile device platforms including Android, iOS, and Windows.

•■Excellent organizational, interpersonal relations, written and oral communication skills required.

•■Strong customer service attitude.

•■Work well under pressure, good problem solver, fast thinker.

•■Team player.

•■Ability to coordinate many issues/projects at once.

•■Analytical, strong attention to detail.
