REXNORD INDUSTRIES LLC Application Engineer III in MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: The Application Engineering III position is responsible for technical support for orders, responding to customer technical questions, and supporting product, sales & marketing activities for Regal Rexnord\'s Clutch & Brake business. Internally, they will be supporting primary functions such as product support and customer service with secondary support to manufacturing, supply chain and marketing. Additionally, they will participate in productivity and simplification projects for our operations and engineering teams. The Application Engineer III works within the product team to accept assignments, consult with manufacturing & engineering, and produce solutions for repairs and rebuilds of clutches & brakes, reverse engineering of competitive drives, and failure analysis. Major Responsibilities: Interacts with the sales team and customer to translates customer specifications into product selections that meet customer and Regal Rexnord business needs Designs custom modifications and accessories for targeted growth verticals and key customers Interacts with sales team and customers to resolve application issues remotely and onsite, including broad product support Conducts product tear-down analysis and populates data for root cause identification, corrective action forms and failure analysis Evaluates deviation or substitution requests from plants/suppliers and provides guidance on resolution Takes responsibility for and complete key tasks on a project-by-project basis and drive to meet deadlines ensuring project success In conjunction with engineering, creates test plans to validate design concepts and material or manufacturing changes, summarizing results, and documenting conclusions Resolve challenges related to the interpretation of drawings, design tolerances, quality and material requirements Works closely with manufacturing, inspection and assembly to problem solve issues Performs reverse engineering of competitor clutches and brakes Required Education / Experience / Skills: Bachelor\'s degree in Business, Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology equivalent from an accredited university 7 + years experience in application support, preferably with industrial products Understanding of Engineering BOMs and drawings Proficient in MS Office tools Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience working in a cross-functional, collaborative environment Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and able to effectively problem solve, prioritize, and execute tasks with a sense of urgency Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision and Prescription Drug Coverage Spending accounts (HSA, Health Care FSA and Dependent Care FSA) Paid Time Off and Holidays 401k Retirement Plan with Matching Employer Contributions Life and Accidental Death &...
