Labcorp Administative Assistant Pathology Dept. in Milwaukee, Wisconsin

We are currently seeking a Pathology Administrative Assistant for a position at Ascension Columbia St. Mary's in Milwaukee, WI.

In this role you will provide exceptional customer service, in a fast-paced Pathology office environment. In addition, you will be provided opportunities for continuous growth within the organization.

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8AM-4:30PM.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Prepare case conferences for the pathologists

  • Tracking and owning all pathology send out work

  • Transcribes codes

  • Demonstrate proficiency in the use of computers, word processing software and dictation equipment

  • Proficiency with numbers

  • Effective interpersonal communication skills

  • Maintain cooperative work relationships with internal and external customers

  • Research information

  • Time management skills

  • Answer phones

  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent,

  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal

  • Previous data entry and/or administrative experience preferred

  • Excellent time management and organization skills

  • Knowledge of medical terminology, medical terminology training preferred
