Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in the non-profit sector, located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This role involves a range of tasks primarily centered around managing accounts payable and providing accounting support. The position is entirely onsite.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately and efficiently process incoming invoices and prepare data for entry into the SAGE Accounting System.
• Manage vendor maintenance setup and verification processes to ensure smooth operations.
• Handle 1099 vendor setup processing, ensuring all vendor details are correctly recorded and updated.
• Conduct regular invoice and voucher file searches to maintain up-to-date records.
• Resolve vendor payment inquiries and problems promptly and professionally.
• Assist with statement reconciliation tasks and engage with vendors as required to resolve discrepancies.
• Perform additional accounting or administrative tasks as needed, often on short notice, to support the accounting staff.
• Attend meetings, conferences, and workshops as required, contributing to team discussions and ongoing learning.
• Support with department projects, audit requests, and other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in the role.
• Use Excel for various accounting tasks and maintaining records. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP)
• Experience with Data Entry tasks
• Ability to accurately code invoices
• Proven experience in invoice entry
• Familiarity with daily reconciliation processes
• Proficiency in using Sage Software
• Advanced skills in Excel
