JOB SUMMARY

At RWS Global, we're committed to building strong supplier partnerships that fuel operational excellence. To further enhance our procurement processes and drive efficiency, we're seeking a seasoned Senior Procurement Specialist to join our global procurement optimization project.

This project focuses on optimizing our supply base, identifying significant cost savings across various spending categories. With an annual spend of approximately $45 million, even minor reductions can have a considerable impact on our bottom line.

As the Senior Procurement Specialist, you'll take the lead in conducting a comprehensive analysis of our existing vendor list, which will include categorizing suppliers, assessment of each supplier’s capabilities and identifying preferred suppliers based on criteria such as quality, geographic location, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. This will involve collaboration with our internal team to understand requirements and gather information on previously used suppliers.

The goal is to streamline the supplier list and ensure that negotiated agreements are in place to maximize value for RWS Global.

Upon successful completion of this project, we aim to achieve an average cost saving of 10% across all procurement categories compared to current rates. Additionally, we'll establish a fully negotiated preferred supplier list with secondary options for each category to ensure business continuity.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a comprehensive analysis of our current vendor list, including:

  • Categorizing suppliers based on the products or services they offer.

  • Evaluating each supplier's capabilities in terms of quality, geographic location, reliability, and cost-effectiveness

  • Identifying preferred suppliers based on the defined criteria.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to:

  • Understand their specific requirements for various goods and services.

  • Gather information on past supplier performance and pricing.

  • Streamline the supplier list by consolidating vendors and eliminating redundancies.

  • Negotiate and finalize agreements with preferred suppliers to ensure maximum value for RWS Global.

  • Develop a comprehensive "preferred supplier list" with a secondary option for each category.

  • Execution of sourcing, negotiation, and contracting activities in support of business needs.

  • Lead procurement processes, including tendering, negotiations, and contract management.

  • Collaborate closely with the Senior Procurement Manager to improve global procurement processes.

  • Cary out any other ad-hoc procurement activities as and when required to support with the operation.

    Qualifications & Skills:

  • Strategic Sourcing : The ability to develop and execute sourcing strategies that align with organizational goals. This involves identifying potential suppliers, evaluating their capabilities, and negotiating favourable contracts.

  • Contract Management: Expertise in reviewing, negotiating, and managing contracts to ensure they meet RWS Global's needs and mitigate risks.

  • Financial Analysis: Strong understanding of financial principles and costing methodologies to analyse supplier proposals and negotiate the best pricing.

  • Data Analysis: Proficiency in analysing procurement data to identify trends, opportunities for cost savings, and areas for improvement.

  • Project Management: Ability to manage the supplier analysis project effectively, meeting timelines and achieving desired outcomes.

  • Negotiation Skills : Highly developed negotiation skills to secure the best possible terms and pricing from suppliers.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present findings, collaborate with internal stakeholders, and build strong relationships with suppliers.

  • Relationship Management : The ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal teams and external suppliers to foster trust and cooperation.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve challenges arising during the procurement process.

  • Attention to Detail: A meticulous eye for detail to ensure accuracy in data analysis, contract negotiation, and supplier selection.

    Experience:

  • Experience working in (or closely with) international companies, ideally with both an EU and US presence.

  • Proven ability to manage contract performance and mitigate risks associated with supplier agreements.

  • Utilized data analytics tools to identify cost-saving opportunities, analyse supplier performance, and generate insightful reports for stakeholders.

  • Successfully managed complex procurement projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

  • Developed and executed sourcing strategies to identify and secure the best value from suppliers across various categories.

  • Negotiated favourable contracts with suppliers, achieving significant cost savings and mitigating risk.

  • Implemented and overseen process improvements within the procurement function.

  • Proficient in use of standard Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Experience working with Oracle NetSuite
