What You Will Be Doing:

As the YES Supply Chain Manager, you will oversee the performance of raw materials, service, logistical, and quality of suppliers / vendors.

Position requires daily office presence (5 days a week) at the listed location, and no relocation assistance is provided.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • The SCM ensures that supplies and services are available to meet Yancey Engineered Solutions (YES) and our customer demand and expectations.

  • The SCM must continuously review logistical functions and identifying areas of improvement in order to have efficiency in the production process.

  • The SCM is responsible jointly with Quality Manager and Purchasing that all suppliers and vendors perform to their contractual obligations.

  • The SCM is responsible for the cost saving leadership and management in pieces price, cost of logistic as well as the cost of poor quality for all suppliers and vendors.

  • Drives the most cost-efficient routes, delivery schedule and full truck loads are in place.

  • Work directly with cost accounting and GM to ensure correct make/buy and supplier selections.

  • Maintains the supplier score card with the Quality Manager, Purchasing and GM approval.

  • The SCM coordinate, organize, and manage all logistics in the production and distribution process of a company’s goods.

  • The SCM oversee the entire life cycle of supplied product and services.

  • The SCM is Audit owner for all suppliers and service providers.

  • The SCM is the master quote, data, score card and performance documentation owner.

    Additional Responsibilities:

  • Participate in required safety program, and work in a safe manner.

  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by management.

    Who We Are Looking For:

To be successful in this position you should have prior leadership experience and a deep understanding of the Supply Chain business. This position also requires someone who has strong accountability and initiative. In addition working in a team environment is essential to this position.

Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or related equivalent required.

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a four year college or university or related equivalent experience preferred.

  • Knowledge in Theory of Constraints (TOC), Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma.

    Required Qualifications/Skills:

  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States and willing to work on-site in Griffin, GA.
