Durand Glass Manufacturing Company, LLC Welder Fabricator in Millville, New Jersey

Fabricate, position, align, and fit parts of structural metal products. Lay out, assemble, install, or maintain pipe systems, pipe supports, or related hydraulic or pneumatic equipment for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, or industrial production or processing systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Weld and fabricate metal components. Convert blueprints into shop drawings to be following in the construction or assembly of sheet metal products. Create construction or installation diagrams. Determine project requirements, such as score, assembly sequences, or required methods or materials, using blueprints, drawings, or written or verbal instructions. Review blueprints or specifications to determine work requirements. Plan layout of construction, installation and/or repairs. Lay out, measure, and mark dimensions and reference lines on material using calculators, scribes, dividers, squares, or rulers. Assemble products or production equipment. Inspect individual parts, assemblies, or installations, using measuring instruments, such as calipers, scales, or micrometers. Inspect completed work to ensure proper installation. Evaluate construction projects to determine compliance with external standards or regulations. Install plumbing or piping. Assemble or secure pipes, tubes, fittings, or related equipment according to specifications by welding brazing, cementing, soldering, or threading joints. Plan pipe system layout, installation, or repair, according to specifications. Measure and mark pipes for cutting or threading. Attach pipes to walls, structures, or fixtures using brackets, clamps, tools, or welding equipment. Use hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools to dismantle and reassemble parts and/or machines. Work from ladders, elevates places or in pits when required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Excellent welding, pipe fitting and fabrication skills. Excellent mechanical skills. Excellent troubleshooting skills.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE: 5+ years of experience with a mechanical contracting firm or in an industrial maintenance environment working with pipe fitting, welding, and fabrication. Welding and/or Pipe Fitting certification. High School Diploma or equivalent.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 75 lbs. Ability to carry up to 50 lbs. Must be able to work at high temperatures. Ability to work from ladders, elevated places, or in pits when required. Ability to work overtime when requested, possibly with little/no notice.

SHIFT: Monday-Friday 6am-2pm plus on call rotation.
