Description

Georgia Military College has an immediate opening for part-time Online Course Developers. Thisfully-remoteposition reports to the AVP of Online Education development and is responsible for assisting course architects, (e.g., Subject Matter Experts and Course reviewers) in the development of online courses for compliance with GMC policies and practices.

MAJOR DUTIES:

  • Manage new & existing course development, revision, and maintenance projects from inception to completion.

  • Consult with stakeholders to ensure consistency with institutional policies.

  • Instruct faculty on course design best practices.

  • Participate in development team meetings and communication.

    *Criminal background check must be cleared before any candidate may begin working.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of Associate’s degree required,

  • 2 years experience in developing courses with Canvas LMS

  • 1 year min experience as Moodle LMS user

  • High-speed internet access with reliable computer access (Desktop with two monitors recommended).

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Educational Technology, Instructional Design or, related field highly preferred.

  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills as well as pays attention to detail.

  • Excellent problem solver with a very solid technical background in Instructional Technology and/or Instructional Design.

  • Proven track record of meeting goals and timelines.
