AOAO Mililani Parkway Landscaper / Groundskeeper in Mililani, Hawaii

  • Have a high school diploma or GED
  • Speak and understand English
  • Must be able to perform all duties as directed by the Resident Manager and Lead Landscaper
  • Must have an understanding and knowledge of a wide range of hand/power tools, equipment and supplies, and must be able to use equipment associated with general landscaping
  • Must be able-bodied and physically fit in order to accomplish all tasks, including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be punctual in reporting to work; dressed in a neat, groomed manner and wearing the Mililani Parkway shirt (provided), as appropriate for the job. Good attendance is expected.

**JOB FUNCTIONS

While performing the duties of this job, the landscaper/groundskeeper is frequently required to stand, walk, and bend for long periods of time; work on ladders above ground; use hands to grip, handle, feel and reach with or without tools; and occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Also, ones general senses (sight, smell, hearing, touch, and taste) should be of good health for personal safety and operation of tools and equipment. Duties include, but are not limited, to the following:**

  • Routine general landscaping/groundskeeping of the premises, including recreation areas, walkways, trash areas, and common areas to see they are clean and well maintained.
    • Moving bulk trash items for monthly pickup and dumpsters for twice a week pick up
  • Routine work on the grounds, including yard landscaping and other minor repairs within common areas
  • Emergency repair and landscaping/groundskeeping as needed to ensure the safety of the premises, including clearing of drains, removing barriers to foot and vehicle traffic, and responding to resident and/or property emergencies
  • Attention and responsiveness to actions and activities on the premises which may pose a hazard or risk to residents, including non-tenant foot and vehicle traffic
  • Any other assignments may be necessary for coverage purposes in addressing emergencies and/or to support the Resident Manager and Lead Landscaper

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to outdoor weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but may be high with the use of power tools for landscaping.
