WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
In this role, you will be a key member of the Sport Marketing team, collaborating closely with athletes, teams, and brand partners to drive their integration into our brand initiatives. You will play a critical role in fostering high-profile relationships within the Sport Marketing industry, with a focus on shaping the strategic direction of the Sport Marketing Italian portfolio positioning. WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Nike Sports Marketing professionals play a crucial role in bridging the connection between the company and Nike-sponsored athletes, clubs, and federations worldwide. The Sports Marketing team partners with top athletes to gain valuable insights about current and future products, share inspiring stories about sport, and build long-lasting, meaningful relationships between the athletes and Nike. The team drives Sports Marketing strategies, secures endorsements and licensing agreements, and provides exceptional services and experiences for athletes globally. This position requires strong brand knowledge, negotiation abilities, and relationship-building skills to foster connections that benefit both the athletes and the company. Required skills:
Extensive experience in Sports Marketing, Marketing, or Brand Marketing is preferred, but we welcome candidates with a passion for the industry and a strong willingness to learn.
Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build strong, trust- based relationships with diverse teams, athletes, and colleagues, fostering collaboration and mutual understanding
Skilled at engaging with diverse audiences, promoting teamwork, and maintaining positive, productive partnerships across the sports marketing landscape, including facilitating meetings and delivering presentations.
Broad knowledge of the football/sport industry or a keen desire to learn.
While understanding the industry is a plus, a passion for sports, listening to the voice of the Athletes and a commitment to personal growth within the field are equally important.
Fluency in Italian and English, with excellent written and spoken communication skills in both languages.
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
Understand and drive the overall Brand Experience strategy for the gender/Fields of Play or SM Country Lead by proactively supporting the integrated seasonal brand offense. Leveraging athletes and teams as an integral part of the Marketing Long Term Consumer Concepts and Seasonal plans that drive the member engagement KPI’s and activate against key sport dimensions, projects or sport moments.
Develop and execute clear plans for athletes and teams that fully leverage the potential of the portfolio, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
Provide Athlete Insights to help shape and refine the portfolio, using a brand tiering approach.
Align our athletes with Nike’s core values around sustainability, community impact, diversity, and equality, driving purpose-led initiatives.
Manage the athlete request process through the Athlete Portal platform, ensuring a seamless, efficient experience for our key partners.
Support the athlete service journey at Nike, facilitating the integration of athletes, teams, and partners across the organization.
Implement Sports Marketing strategies by building strong relationships within the team and across departments. You will collaborate closely with Brand Management, Energy Marketing, Communications, Purpose, and Product teams to support and drive business priorities.
