This position is for a Process Method Engineer (PME) Position supporting Oklahoma City Operations for Special Technologies Coatings. The successful candidate will be expected to allocate sufficient time on the Production shop floor to identify, update and improve the operating equipment for Coating and Stripping Operations at STC. This position will coordinate closely with other Process Method Engineers and Software Programmers, along with Third-Party Maintenance Provider to achieve exceptional delivery and quality performance. Furthermore, this position will support the procurement of fixtures, start-up of assets for stripping and coating, and implementation of new capital equipment. This position is a 1st Shift assignment; however, it will require, intermittent support of 2nd and 3rd shift operations, respectively, when required.

What You Will Do :

  • Comprehend and interpret technical manuals, engine repair and overhaul instruction requirements by ensuring repaired hardware meets specification requirements.

  • Troubleshoot process and machine discrepancies to determine root cause and resolutions.

  • Work with Quality Inspectors to interpret inspection criteria and hardware condition.

  • Qualify and generate work instructions for new equipment, tooling, processes, and engine hardware.

  • Aggregate and translate production data to maintain process control, drive production metrics by fostering data driven decision.

  • Work across multi-functional teams to develop lean and continuous improvement initiatives that will impact operational efficiencies and process robustness.

    Qualifications You Must Have :

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college/university w/minimum 5 years of experience OR advanced degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college/university w/minimum 3 years of experience

  • ​Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.

  • MUST be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance and program access for F119 and F135; current security clearance access will be weighted favorably.

    Qualifications We Prefer :

  • Skilled communicator with an ability to maintain productive relationships in difficult situations.

  • Good analytical, problem solving, and project management skills.

  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams on a wide variety of tasks and with limited supervision.

  • Operational experience in an MRO engine facility

  • Experience with continuous process improvement.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
