Actalent Mechanical Engineer in Midland, Texas
Job Title: Mechanical EngineerJob Description
Join our innovative team as a Mechanical Engineer where you will gradually become the eyes and ears on the floor, crucial for ramping up operations. In this role, you'll design 3D models for our poultry and ice divisions and lead your team effectively by translating technical details into understandable tasks. You will also collaborate with automation engineers to ensure mechanical devices function as intended. Your responsibilities will include taking products from concept to production, implementing design for manufacturing (DFM) practices, creating and reviewing bills of materials, manuals, and fabrication drawings, and completing necessary mechanical design and engineering calculations.
Hard Skills
3D CAD (AutoCAD Inventor preferred, Solidworks acceptable)
Experience with refrigeration systems or HVAC systems
Proficiency in machine design, materials selection, stress analysis, and structural optimization
Soft Skills
Strong communication skills
Leadership capabilities
Ability to translate and convey technical information

This is a fully on-site position in Midland, Texas.
Work Environment
You will be a pivotal part of building a new team in Midland, TX, setting the tone and culture of the workplace. This position does not have direct reports onsite.
