Job Description
Position Summary:
As a Sr QC Technician at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., you will play a crucial role in ensuring the flawless quality and performance of our products. This is a unique opportunity to join a world-class team and contribute to the advancement of scientific research and innovation. In this role, you will perform laboratory testing and analysis of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products using a range of methods and automated systems. Your technical expertise and attention to detail will be essential in maintaining consistent product performance and quality.
Major Responsibilities:
Perform laboratory analysis on products/materials
Evaluate data and prepare technical summaries and supporting reports
Prepare samples for testing and test and release products in accordance with procedures
Schedule testing to meet departmental and plant commitments
Troubleshoot test procedures and instruments and determine appropriate course of action
Evaluate analytical results and determine conformance to specification
Maintain instruments/equipment and perform calibrations
Prepare data summaries and reports for technical input
Maintain required records/logs and working laboratory inventory
Train laboratory personnel on procedures and equipment operations
Support other laboratory functions as necessary
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Medical Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience
3 years of laboratory experience in Analytical Chemistry, Immunoassay, Hematology, Coagulation, Microbiology, or Clinical Chemistry
Strong knowledge of clinical laboratory instrumentation and troubleshooting capabilities
Proficiency in analytical testing techniques
Ability to organize data for presentation and prepare reports
Ability to lift items up to 45 lbs
Knowledge of GMP and ISO requirements
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks with multiple priorities
Flexibility to work overtime or staggered shifts
Physical Requirements:
Normal laboratory/office environment
Frequent communication and walking to other areas
Sitting and standing
Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 45 pounds
