Job Title: Engineering Technician

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Technician to support R&D and fabrication of cables, chassis, and test systems at a workbench. The ideal candidate will have experience with electrical chassis, cabinet, or cable-building and will be proficient with computers to look up parts, develop bills of materials, and read schematics or technical drawings. The technician will also run tests and record results.

Responsibilities

  • Support R&D and fabrication of cables, chassis, and test systems.

  • Build electrical chassis, cabinets, and cables.

  • Look up parts and develop bills of materials.

  • Read and interpret schematics or technical drawings.

  • Run tests and accurately record results.

  • Support engineering tasks including soldering, wiring, and PCB assembly.

  • Use oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other test equipment.

  • Perform control panel building, cable rack assembly, and cable continuity checks.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with electronic, schematics, and electrical assembly.

  • Proficient in cable or wire building, and control panel construction.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.

  • Experience with soldering, wiring, and PCB assembly.

  • Proficient in using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other test equipment.

  • Familiarity with AC and DC voltage concepts, troubleshooting, and measurement.

  • Knowledge of electrical test and calibration equipment, including digital multi-meters (DMMs).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Understanding of electrical engineering principles preferred.

  • Familiarity with naval systems, sonar, and Hi-Pot testing.

  • Experience with harness assembly and electronic testing.

  • Knowledge of production and voltmeter usage.
