Aerotek Maintenance Technician in Middletown, Pennsylvania

Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

As a Maintenance Technician, you will inspect buildings, electrical systems, grounds, and equipment. Your role will involve performing troubleshooting and repairs on all equipment, as well as preventative maintenance. This includes working on systems, filters, bearings, rollers, and more. You will also handle plumbing, electrical, and machine maintenance tasks. The position requires responding to emergency calls and involves first shift work from Monday to Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, with occasional extended hours until 4:30 pm and shortened Fridays. On-call duties and some Saturday shifts (approximately once a month) are also required to perform maintenance when production is not running.

Work Environment

The work environment regularly requires you to stand, walk, and use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and talk or hear. Occasionally, you will be required to sit and frequently must squat, stoop, or kneel, reach above the head, and reach forward. Daily hand strength is needed to grasp tools, supplies, and equipment. You will frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Work is both indoors and outdoors, occasionally involving chemicals with moderate noise levels. Intense safety training is provided, and adherence to safety protocols, especially regarding chemicals, is crucial.
