Description Exciting Opportunity for Sr. Electrical Controls Engineer Are you an experienced controls engineer looking for a challenging new role? PAC Worldwide, a leading manufacturer of protective packaging solutions, is seeking a talented Sr. Electrical Controls Engineer to join their team. Bring your passion for cutting-edge automation technology to a company re-defining flexible packaging solutions! In this hands-on position, you will be responsible for the engineering, design, programming, and commissioning of advanced control systems including PLCs, PACs, HMIs, servo motion, robotics, and web handling controls. You will work across the entire project lifecycle from concept to manufacturing acceptance. Key responsibilities include: - Design and programming of control systems using platforms like Siemens, Beckhoff, Bosch Rexroth - Developing PLC, HMI, and motion control code in ladder logic, structured text, C++ - Leading commissioning and validation of systems on-site - Troubleshooting and supporting production operations - Managing capital projects from cost analysis through execution - Driving continuous improvement and standardization initiatives Our ideal candidate will have 8+ years of controls engineering experience, preferably in the flexible packaging or converting industry. Knowledge of IEC 61131-3 standards, industrial communications, electrical codes/safety, and packaging equipment like extruders, printing, and converting lines is required. Strong project management, communication, and problem-solving abilities are essential.
