At LandP Aerospace, we specialize in creating complex tube and duct assemblies using high-performance materials capable of withstanding extreme pressure, temperature, and chemical interaction.

After our materials have gone through the necessary processes, we are left with high-performance finished goods that are ready to be incorporated into assemblies for our customers.

POSITION SUMMARY: This position will work under the observations of an experienced Tube Bender, building basic skills and gaining additional tasks and responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Manufacture product that meets quality requirements by reading blueprints, drawings, or specifications to determine the dimensions and tolerances of finished parts.
  • Perform the basics to program and edit programs needed to produce parts.
  • Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as angle rotation, length, speed, and feed, or enter commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media.
  • Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjusts machine controls or control media as required.
  • Set up and operate the machine on a trial run to verify the accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data.
  • Inspects and measures fabricated parts to verify conformance to specifications, using non-contact CMM and fixture. If non-conforming, process via non-conforming material procedures.
  • Meet time and schedule standards for assigned work.
  • Correctly process work via required paperwork and MRP system.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIRED:

  • Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
  • Mechanically inclined.
  • Trade/Technical School graduate preferred.
  • CNC knowledge/experience is a plus.
