Systems Support Engineer

Job location: DHL Miami Hub, MIA

DHL has an immediate opening for a Systems Support Engineer . This role supports the applications, systems and users associated with DHL’s Automated Sort Facilities. You will be responsible for providing technical expertise with respect to leading-edge IT auto sort technologies and driving problem resolution with technically complex software& integration solution in a time critical environmentThe role also requires support of desktop, printers, phones, network hardware, scales in a warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Application support for DHL global auto sort systems, includingSATS, Tier2, SCADA

  • Escalation and problem recovery management with application vendors / ITS / RACC support

  • Support monthly security patching and software updates

  • Drive Problem resolution with vendors / ITS for open issues

  • Technical Quality assurance and testing for solution within the scope of the domain.

  • Develop documentation and processes associated with applications.

  • Support site deployment activities when needed.

  • Perform application testing / certification for changes impacting Auto sort system.

  • Support the IT system deployment process as and when required

  • Desktop Support of equipment and users within our hub / gateway and aviation operations

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Total of 2 to 5 years work experience in IT.

  • Desktop support experience

  • Strong Troubleshooting and problem solving skills

  • Ability to work independently in a time sensitive, fast paced, demandingenvironment

  • At least2 years working experience in technologies relevant to the role

  • Others: passion for technology; good communicator, team player, positive and can-do attitude

  • Degree/Diploma in Computer Science or IT Technologies field
