Carnival Cruise Line Sr. Financial Analyst in Miami, Florida

Job Description

As a Senior Analyst for the Financial Planning & Analysis group, you would be a key contributor to the future success of the Financial Planning and Analysis team by providing a strong professional presence, technical expertise and a business/operational focus. You will work with management throughout the company to develop, track and analyze key performance indicators to assess and ensure operational and financial strength. Together with the Director and the Manager of FP&A, you will assist in the preparation, consolidation, and in-depth analysis of the annual budget and monthly forecasts. As a Sr. Analyst, you will be expected to bring strong leadership acumen to the team to help Director and Manager of FP&A influence the extended organization to achieve stated financial objectives.

Essential Functions:

  • Build, update and maintain monthly financial forecasting modeling tools and analyses, independently and collaboratively, to provide insights into business trends and recommendations for improvements.

  • Develop and deliver effective and timely business analysis and reporting both ad-hoc and at the request of the management team to further support business strategies and operational objectives.

  • Use analytical skills to sift through large amounts of data and turn this information into key qualitative and quantitative financial analysis for both domestic and international operations.

  • Assist in coordination, preparation, and analysis of annual operating plan, capital plan and long-term financial planning models.

  • Communicate complex analysis and results with recommendation to all levels of management, including senior management.

  • Develop and deliver informative, well-organized executive-level PowerPoint presentations.

  • Proactively seek opportunities to partner with business units on important strategic initiatives.

  • Prepare monthly consolidation, review and reconciliation of financial reports for various business units.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 5+ years of relevant experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Advanced proficiency in Hyperion Essbase, Hyperion Planning, Hyperion Interactive Reporting, and Oracle Financials or similar database systems.

  • Proficiency in Tableau.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to adapt easily to change in dynamic environment.

  • Mastery with financial statement analysis.

  • Must be able to critically think, problem solve, and perform root cause analysis under ambiguity.

  • Highly analytical and detail oriented with a strong business sense.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects to completion, coordinate action plans, and implement actionable strategies.

  • Be able to manage tight deadlines, prioritize work-load, and achieve effective results.

Physical Demands: Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time. Requires regular movement throughout CCL facilities.

Travel: Less than 25% travel

Work Conditions: Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.

The range for this role’s base salary is $61,000 - $90,000. Offers to selected candidates will be made on a fair and equitable basis, taking into account specific job-related skills and experience.
