Job Description:
Summary:
As a Field Technician, you are responsible for providing support in the maintenance and operation of telecommunication site infrastructures
Perform ongoing maintenance, upgrade, and installation of existing and new wireless communications infrastructure. Responsibilities also include providing support to Remote engineers and assisting them in Integrating/ Troubleshooting sites.
Work with minimal supervision
Read and understand a customer detail plan
Have a labor-intensive attitude
Provide superior customer service while ensuring all essential job functions are performed in a timely, efficient, accurate, and safe manner
Adhere to all company and industry standards/regulations.
Conduct due diligence for multiple projects prior to fieldwork
Other duties as assigned
Ability to work independently and with others
Open to travel extensively including overnight or on call
Responsibility for successful completion of basic installation projects
Maintain satisfactory quality performance levels
Timely and accurate completion of job documentation
Provide daily job status reports
Communicate specifications to other technicians
Operate hand and power tools
Qualifications
Track record of completing work with a high level of quality
knack for figuring out hard problems and enjoy a hands-on approach to your work
Some cell tower industry experience highly preferred.
Good communication and interpersonal skills; self-starter, team player, and results oriented.
Must be at least 21 years old, have a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record to operate a company vehicle.
High school diploma or GED; technical degree preferred.
Experience on AT&T, T-Mobile or Verizon Wireless Networks
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Must be adaptable to changing environments.
Must be able to pick up 50 lbs. and be cable of working up to 12 hours
Must be available to work weekends and/or nights, in extreme weather conditions if necessary, and be willing to travel extensively
Must be able to work out of market or away from home as work demands
