Robert Half Accounting Manager/Supervisor in Miami, Florida
Description
We are supporting a client of ours located in the Downtown Miami area with their search for an Accounting Manager. The role involves overseeing full cycle accounting for a small but growing financial services organization. This role is ideal for a candidate who wants to take ownership of the daily/monthly accounting functions. This role will be based onsite and requires proficiency in using QuickBooks and Excel.
Responsibilities:
• Manage accounts payable and receivable
• Prepare and post journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
• Carry out monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
• Conduct month-end and year-end close processes
• Manage payroll functions
• Utilize QuickBooks and Excel for various accounting tasks
• Ensure compliance with accounting and financial standards and regulations
• Oversee billing functions and resolve any discrepancies or issues
• Use accounting software systems effectively and efficiently.
Requirements
• 2 to 4 years of accounting experience
• Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Proficiency with QuickBooks and Excel functions
• Proficiency with Bank Reconciliation, Accounts Payables/payment processing and month end close support
• Knowledge and understanding of US GAAP
