Collaborate with senior management to align supply chain goals with the company's strategic direction. Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on their ability to meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements. Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and reliable supply of materials. Inventory Management: Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize inventory levels while ensuring product availability. Monitor inventory levels, forecast demand, and coordinate with production and sales teams to prevent stockouts or excess inventory. Logistics Management: Coordinate transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods. Collaborate with logistics providers to optimize transportation routes, reduce lead times, and minimize transportation costs. Demand Planning: Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to forecast customer demand and develop accurate demand plans. Use demand planning tools and techniques to improve forecast accuracy and minimize forecast errors. Process Improvement: Continuously review and improve supply chain processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer service. Identify bottlenecks, implement process improvements, and monitor key performance indicators to measure and track supply chain performance. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, such as supplier disruptions, transportation delays, or quality issues. Develop contingency plans and establish backup suppliers or alternative transportation routes to ensure business continuity. Team Leadership: Lead and develop a team of supply chain professionals. Provide guidance, coaching, and training to enhance their skills and capabilities. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team Why work at JBT ...
