This position provides financial and accounting support & advice in his/her area of responsibility. Performs specific financial and accounting activities following the departmental procedures to be part in the decision making. Performs the financial report in his/her area of responsibility.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Is responsible for the monthly and annual accounting closing.
Prepares analysis and presentations when required.
Participates in financial audits and complies with the procedures and policies of internal and external audit.
Payroll Accountant.
Creates and analyze different payroll costing scenarios to provide support, guidance, and valuable inputs for the financial decision process.
Provides support, prepares, and presents financial analysis of his/her area of responsibility on a timely, exact fashion and analyze financial information of the different departments, influencing in the decision-making process.
Provides advice to departments with their expenses, capital, budget, follow up and reports.
Provides education and ensures the adherence to the internal control procedures and processes.
Comply with KPI’s set to his activities under his scope.
Prepares & informs KPI’s report related to the functions under his scope.
Performs internal controls related to procedures under his scope and advice other team members in regarding compliance controls.
Identifies issues and is an active part of solutions to discrepancies or inconsistencies in the process or systems & timely informs to direct management.
Develops financial budgets of the plant operation, understanding all the elements involved in the costing process and the impact in financial results.
Tracks, analyze and reports, financial results, and budget of the department operation
Prepares an account analysis of the balance sheet and expenses and identifies solutions for items unproperly registered.
Analyses and evaluates cost reduction projects, delivering and presenting information according to the business needs.
Coordinates, leads, and executes special projects.
Coordinates, leads, other people involved in the process, to properly with the requirements.
Ensures the filing of accounting and legal documents in a correct manner.
Provides information related to internal & external audits
Develops, maintains, performs, and supervises the work procedures and processes related to his responsibilities as well as the personnel under his charge, including the internal control
Complies and advice other teams’ members with the policies, procedures, and regulations of the company, local, state, and federal (NIF, CFF, etc.), as well as the procedures and policies for Safety and Hygiene, Health, and Environment, GMPs, ISO, etc.
Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level
Responsible for ensuring subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition (if applicable)
Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures
Qualifications
Requirements:
financial, costing, tax, or other analysis.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
4-6 years of experience in Payroll Accounting -Performs and presents complex analysis.
High Communication Skills
High knowledge in local regulations related to accounting, tax, fiscal & labor.
Familiarized with manufacturing environment
Intermediate Spanish/English 50%
