The primary responsibilities are to execute strategies to increase share, sales and profit. This leader will be responsible for maintaining the current base business while identifying and seizing new business opportunities. Additional responsibilities include maintaining strong account relationships and leading a team of cross functional internal stakeholders to successful outcomes.

Job Responsibilities

  • Optimizing the Field Sales Process: This involves analyzing sales data, identifying areas for improvement, and developing and implementing strategies to streamline the sales process for field representatives.

  • Managing Sales Technology: The Field Sales Operations Manager will ensure field representatives have the necessary tools and technology for success, such as CRM and sales automation tools.

  • Field Sales Representative Training & Development: The manager is responsible for training field sales representatives on the company's products or services, as well as best sales practices. They will also help develop the sales skills of representatives through coaching and feedback.

  • Data Analysis & Reporting: They will gather and analyze sales data to identify trends, forecast sales, and provide valuable insights to sales managers and executive leadership.

  • Logistics Management: In some cases, the Field Sales Operations Manager may also be responsible for logistics, such as scheduling appointments and travel for field representatives.

  • Collaboration with Other Departments: The Field Sales Operations Manager will work collaboratively with other departments, such as marketing and customer service, to ensure a positive customer experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, or a related field

  • Experience in sales and/or sales operations

  • Strong understanding of sales processes and best practices

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills

  • Experience in the industry the company serves

  • Knowledge of sales tools and technology

  • Leadership and coaching skills
