DAS North America, Inc Production Team Leader in Metter, Georgia
*Department: Production *Position Title: Team Leader **Exemption Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly)
**Summary of Job Function Lead production Team Members in day-to-day operations. Operate equipment; move materials; maintain equipment, housekeeping and safety standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with Supervisor; participate in the training of all Team Members and their certification program.
- Assist the Supervisors in developing the workforce into a cohesive team unit with a common goal of group excellence in product quality and satisfaction of customer needs.
- Communicate performance results to the Supervisors on a regular basis, acting as necessary to improve deficient areas.
- Operate all line equipment as required.
- Ensure each Team Members are following the Work Instructions.
- Report all quality issues to Supervisors specifically and discuss daily quality issues with Team Members.
- Inspect parts and finished assemblies according to inspection standards and frequencies prescribed.
- Complete all working documentation, records, reports, etc. as requested.
- Perform trouble shooting, problem solving and countermeasure activities as necessary.
- Keep the work environment safe and clean at all times .
- Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job.
- Performs other duties and assignments as required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of any proprietary business-related information to which is entrusted.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to work in a non-climate controlled area (where applicable).
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs on a consistent basis.
- Ability to follow oral and written work instructions .
Education and/or Experience
- Associates or Technical Degree in a related field.
- Industrial experience of at least three years preferred.
- Leadership experience preferred.
