Job Description
This role is based in Mettawa, IL and will require 3 days per week onsite.
The Project Manager, Congress Team, will report to the Associate Director, National & Regional Congresses, within the OBU Capabilities & Operations Team.
The Project Manager’s primary function is to work cross functionally to initiate, execute, and manage multiple programs in a compliant manner and within budget. This role is accountable for managing programs that significantly impact the business while improving and optimizing programs with a matrixed approach to the organization and stakeholders.
Major Responsibilities:
Internal Project Management & Execution:
Initiate, execute, and manage multiple projects, ensuring timely reporting of team activities, including providing project management for a portfolio approach to state society management
Aggregate digital presentation materials and oversee production for Tier 1 and 2 Congresses
Create feedback mechanisms to communicate opportunities and successes.
Address standards to improve future processes, such as standardizing SharePoint drive folder management and field communication for state society sponsorship.
Work cross functionally to develop Congress core team planning meetings and materials for Tier 1 and Tier 2 Congresses, such as ASH, ASCO, etc. Support team Congress Readiness Review governance process
Manage project budgets and track and submit purchase orders as needed
External Initiatives Preparation, Management & Execution:
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver project plans, meetings, and events.
Develop and maintain project trackers for coordination of milestones.
Lead badging workstream and coordinate with Medical Team Lead for Tier 1 and 2 congresses.
Coordinate cross-functionally with Business Services Group (BSG) for Congress Kickoffs.
Lead the non-branded asset approval process and ensure firewall compliance.
Coordinate with external partners to meet deliverables/milestones.
Develop and implement SOPs for Tier 1 Congresses, serving as a foundation for Tier 2 Congress SOPs under the One Oncology approach.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of overall program/project management work experience.
Congress and sponsorship management experience preferred
Strong project management and budget management skills
Ability to motivate and influence others without direct management authority.
Excellent diplomacy and facilitation skills
Strong interpersonal skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to assess risks and benefits to make timely, sound decisions with various levels of information, and accept responsibly for meeting and/ or exceeding objectives
Exceptional interpersonal skills parlayed with oral and written communication.
Ability to understand and organize programs and project tasks for several different cross-functional business teams.
Highly organized, meets project deadlines and proactively delivers to fulfill upon business objectives.

Continuous sitting for prolonged periods (more than two consecutive hours in an 8-hour day)

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

Salary: $103,500 - $197,000
