Job Description
The position is a part of the Field Planning & Analytics Team which drives field force effectiveness by optimizing our sales force size and structure, creating IC designs that are driving the right behavior, and ensuring our call plans, field tools and operations provide our field teams with what they need to drive the business in their markets.
This includes providing support to existing franchises within neurosciences and eye care in addition to supporting new product launches and new indication(s).
This is a hybrid position and requires the ability to commute to our Mettawa, IL office at least 3 days per week.
Responsibilities
Responsible for planning, design, payout and administration of sales compensation incentive plans and special incentive programs for commercial field sales.
Statistically Supported Analytics: A successful candidate will be skilled in a variety of analytical techniques. These can include but are not limited to: Regression analysis, Marketing Mix Model reviews, Cluster analysis, and Data Visualization.
Field Force Sizing Structure and Optimization: Responsible for identifying the right field force size and structure by leveraging comprehensive and complex design methodologies, competitive analysis, forecast, and other relevant data
resources. Responsible for designing the territory alignments for the field force teams to optimize the allocation of resources based on business needs. Evaluate ongoing organizational needs and restructure the field teams for situations such as the new product launches.
Understand strategic and tactical issues, employ appropriate methodologies to analyze data and provide insights and recommendations as it relates to field deployment, customer targeting
Develop and deliver formal presentations to internal and field teams including senior management and sales leadership
Collaborate with peers and Sales and Marketing leadership on a regular basis.
Manage all aspects of vendor relationships on a day-to-day basis. Ensure vendor-assisted projects are managed within budget and timeline and appropriate methodologies are employed
Design and deploy optimal solutions that are innovative, add value and meet current and future business requirements
Drive multiple complex projects, balancing between short-term and long-term objectives and managing the projects within budget and timelines
Understand strategic and tactical issues, employ appropriate methodologies to analyze data and provide insights and recommendations
Qualifications
BA, BS degree required. Master's degree in business or science a plus.
3-5 years' experience in project management (including leadership of a significant cross-functional project), marketing or sales operations or information technology.
Knowledge of and experience in Pharmaceutical industry preferred including Veeva/Salesforce.com experience
Knowledge of applicable regulations and standards affecting Pharmaceutical Products
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
Able to manage multiple tasks/priorities simultaneously with sense of urgency.
Strong project management, problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong customer and operations focus.
Confidence in providing subject matter expertise to Senior Leadership, Sales Leadership and other high-level contacts.
Ability to clearly and confidently articulate complex and difficult concepts.
Extensive understanding of pharmaceutical field sales activities, roles and behaviors.
Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
Excellent business acumen, understanding of Compliance, Legal, Med/Reg drivers and guidance.
Ability to develop and deliver training and communications; public speaking ability addressing groups of a few to
thousands
Experience in developing, deploying, and managing effective IT systems, quality control procedures, and comfort in directing low level analytics
Understanding and experience working directly with pharmaceutical sales data sources.
Ability to thrive in a team environment
Ability to develop and execute innovative, creative solutions

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

Salary: $103,500 - $197,000
