Job Description
The AbbVie U.S. Commercial organization is seeking a Director of IRA Strategy, Operations and Communications reporting to the Vice President Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) Strategy.
Primary responsibilities for this position include but is not limited to:
Lead communication efforts across the enterprise to inform key stakeholders on IRA developments
Provide timely decision support to the VP via close coordination and collaboration across multiple stakeholders within U.S. Commercial including Finance, Marketing Analytics and Business Insights, Market Access, Government Affairs, Legal and Therapeutic Area and IBT Leadership.
Attend and participate in cross functional strategic meetings pertaining to the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), identify the core actions that need to be taken and create milestones, timelines and work plans in tandem with working teams.
Provide project management support to the VP on a variety of operational and strategic initiatives ensuring objectives are identified, resourced, and accomplished.
Partner with U.S. Commercial Therapeutic Area members across the portfolio to lead multiple IRA initiatives.
Operate quickly and decisively in a fast-paced, demanding, and dynamic environment.
Establish a productive work environment by creating trust across U.S. Commercial Organization through IRA subject matter expertise.
Position requires excellent communication skills and strong analytical skills to recognize key issues, establish priorities, and prepare high-level presentations for senior management review.
Without direct influence, navigate competing priorities, successfully engage, and influence multiple stakeholders to integrate / prioritize wide-ranging timelines and business deliverables.
Maintain accountability for business update activities, staff meetings, executive presentations, and other events.
Create and manage a master calendar over the LRP supporting deep knowledge of potential Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) impacts across the portfolio.
Work cross-functionally with Senior Management and other Abbvie internal partners to create, socialize, optimize, and implement commercial initiatives including but not limited to: Town Halls, National Meetings, and Leadership Development.
Qualifications
Basic:
7-10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry in Market Access, Government Affairs or Analytical leadership roles.
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
U.S. Commercial experience required with strong matrix skills and cultural sensitivity to work effectively across AbbVie Inc.
Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to influence and manage a complex set of internal and external stakeholders.
Strong executive presence and leadership skills.
Strong communication and negotiating skills required.

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

Salary: $172,000 - $326,500
