Job Description
The Associate Director / Chief of Staff will help drive commercial strategy, GM and franchise communications, and business operations across the Parkinson’s Disease business, Specific activities will include:
Strategic Excellence
Support GM with key franchise strategic initiatives such as, but not limited to development of franchise story, one-pager brand highlights and facts, onboarding tools, etc.
Build roadmap for franchise meetings and ensure key stakeholders engage and value is driven with results-oriented outcomes.
Franchise Communications
Develop overarching communications strategy in conjunction with GM, staff, and PR/IR.
Lead execution of all franchise communications including collaborating with agency and Public Relations to create content, plan the delivery of content, create effective communication tools (e.g. slides, videos, etc.), and ensure accurate, timely, and engaging communications.
Operational Effectiveness / Chief of Staff to GM of Parkinson’s
Executing opportunities to drive operational effectiveness within and across the PD business and with key cross-functional partners, e.g., IBT, Finance, BHR
Facilitate effective and collaborative cross-functional engagements to optimize AbbVie and PD capabilities, e.g., with Integrated Brand Teams, Customer Experience, Medical, Compliance HEOR, Business Technology Solutions, etc.
Lead development of business and operational reviews to GM and Executive leadership
The Associate Director / Chief of Staff will work closely with the Parkinson’s GM, staff, and cross-functional stakeholders to identify and develop strategic and operational opportunities. Hence, this position will foster positive working relationships and be highly collaborative with the PD brand teams, Finance, Medical, R&D, Market Access, Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR), Market Analytics and Business Insights (MABI), Sales Training, Sales Force Effectiveness, Regulatory, Customer Experience, and other cross franchise teams to gain input into developing strategic and operational projects. Must demonstrate the ability to lead without authority, while building a collaborative, integrated approach across the organization
Qualifications
Education and experience:
BA/BS required, MBA or advanced degree (PhD, MD) preferred
At least 5-10 years of professional industry experience with a successful track record in management consulting (at least 2+ years), pipeline management, sales management, or pharmaceutical marketing with strong analytical and strategic skills.
Previous experience in Sales, Communications, Corporate Strategy, and/or Brand Marketing
Demonstrated excellent communication and presentation skills across a variety of organization levels and disciplines, including senior executives

Excellent command of MS PowerPoint and MS Excel
Experience working with pre-launch, launch, &/or on-market commercial teams, preferred.

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

Salary: $133,500 - $253,500
