About the job:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Waiter role to join the Banquet Operation team at Jumeirah Messilah Beach Hotel & Spa, Kuwait.

Your main duties will include:

  1. To offer guests of the outlet an enjoyable, expertly served beverage/dining experience.

  2. To anticipate and service of guests' requirements before requests is necessary.

  3. To be familiar with the beverage service including stemware used and appropriate garnishes.

  4. To complete opening and closing side work as assigned and have all the setup according to standard.

  5. To present menus and explanations for all menu items as well as specials of the day.

  6. To be fully knowledgeable of and utilize the hotel's computer system ringing up sales, printing checks, closing checks, and completing closing readings.

  7. To report any accident or guest complaint immediately, no matter how minor, to a manager.

  8. To recognize and address potential disruptive or undesirable guests.

  9. To respond properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation.

  10. To break down any buffets, displays, or side stations when needed

  11. To keep the service area clean and tidy.

  12. To perform other tasks or projects as assigned by the line manager.

  13. To retrieve and stock all linen, chine, silver, glassware, and food and beverage items.

  14. To provide unobtrusive and professional service in accordance with our sequence.

  15. To provide quick and attentive assistance to any mishap in the operation.

  16. Attends all the training subjects for the service colleagues and follows all rules and policies of the hotel

  17. To handle cash and credit card procedures according to the guidelines of the accounting department

Qualifications:

About you:

  • Well-versed English communication and writing skills, talkative and dynamic, well-present and good-looking.

  • Should have over one year of experience in a similar position.

  • Work in a multicultural environment.

  • 2 years minimum experience working in a multi-cultural / 5-star hotel environment.

  • Ability to handle large restaurants and guest volumes on a daily basis.
