About the Job:

An opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and skilled Technician specializing in Audio Video to join our Engineering department. This role is essential in maintaining the high standards of operational excellence in audio and video systems throughout the property.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, maintain, and repair audio and video equipment throughout the hotel to ensure optimal performance and standard compliance.

  • Conduct regular preventative maintenance checks on all AV equipment to prevent disruptions and ensure safety and quality standards.

  • Collaborate with the Engineering team to execute Work Orders, Preventive Maintenance (PPM), Corrective Work Actions (CWA), and general maintenance tasks as directed by Team Leaders.

  • Ensure compliance with Fire, Life, and Safety (FLS) systems and maintain accurate records.

  • Demonstrate proficiency in technical skills and maintain a high standard of work across all tasks.

  • Maintain a safe and tidy work environment in all areas, including storage and operation locations.

  • Familiarize and comply with all relevant Engineering Department policies, processes, and procedures.

  • Understand the basics of engineering drawings and apply this knowledge in maintaining and setting up AV systems.

  • Manage inventory levels of AV items in the store to maintain required par levels.

  • Perform additional duties as reasonably requested by management.

Qualifications

About you:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2-year experience as an Audio Video Technician or similar role in a hospitality environment.

  • Knowledge of AV equipment maintenance, repairs and trouble shooting.

  • Knowledge in various trades like Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC or equivalent experience would be an added value

  • Engineering certificate in related fields. At least 1-year formal training (certified).

  • Knowledge in computer based planned preventive maintenance.

  • Knowledge of maintaining Fire, Life & Safety System and work order system.

  • Good English communication skills
