Job Description
The Workplace Strategic Planning Specialist is a strategic planning role that reports into the Director of Facilities Planning and Workplace Services and will play a key role in developing a 5-10 year strategic Facilities plan that will effectively utilize our Real Estate portfolio by analyzing our data and intimately understanding our customers office, lab and manufacturing current and future space needs. The Workspace Strategic Planning Specialist will partner with business leaders to understand the space requirements for each business area, work cross-functionally stakeholders, and subject matter experts to explore implementation options, evaluate risks, and operationalize both annual and multi-year initiatives, with a focus on scalability and efficiency. In this role you work closely with a diverse set colleagues in Planning, Real Estate, Finance, IT, Facilities Operations, Security and Construction Project Management to create an excellent customer experience for all BAE, Electronic System employees.
The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in leading business transformation programs in complex, overlay environments and building scalable mechanisms to support sales operations and planning. They will have high business acumen and strong analytical skills coupled with strong collaboration and influencing skills. This is a hands-on position - the candidate must be willing to roll up the sleeves , be a self-starter with a bias towards independent problem solving, and have a passion for identifying and eliminating bottlenecks, anticipate business needs, make tradeoffs, and balance business dynamics despite constraints. They thrive in a fast-paced environment, are able to manage through ambiguity and complexity, and constantly seek ways to invent and simplify across the business.
The candidate must be a dynamic leader with a flexible mind-set, who is able to work with multiple Business Areas, Functions, and working groups to support successful capital project planning and delivery. You will be a key cog in our communication conduit between our internal customers and our Facilities Organization. You will be engaging with our business leads to align with our IBP pipelines and ensure the Facilities organization is prepared to support the planning and execution for all capital fit-ups that drive our portfolio. You will also collaborate with our Facilities Planning Team to ensure achievement of project and portfolio planning through data integrity, financial, schedule, technical, and performance objectives on a collection of capital projects and provide Sector level reporting for all Strategic Portfolio Planning activities.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Ability to think strategically and creatively, to articulate client challenges and demonstrate how the real estate portfolio strategy can address enterprise business objectives.
Gather data across a broad range of sources, perform careful analysis, synthesize trends into takeaways and prepare thoughtful reporting for executive review. This detail-oriented professional will play a critical role in helping our account teams identify strategic opportunities, mitigate risk, and bring real estate opportunities to life.
Responsible for providing analytical support, research, BI report development that supports real estate strategy workstreams across a client s real estate portfolio. Ability to develop a storyline and executive deliverables that aid stakeholder consensus and approval.
Strong eye for executive infographics, distilling complex data sets to action-oriented insights.
Perform industry research and analysis, helping to benchmark client activities to industry best practice.
Support ad-hoc strategic projects as client needs arise.
Support highly complex and visible strategic programs, driving business decisions to support BAE s growth objectives.
Develop and apply data analysis frameworks, working closely with Data Science teams to produce actionable insights that inform strategy recommendations.
Lead and manage the change management needs of strategic initiatives by collaborating with stakeholders on communications, enablement, and content management.
Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and success metrics for strategic initiatives, providing clear reports on progress and results.
Conduct post-initiative evaluations to capture lessons learned, iterate on processes, and refine program management practices to maximize impact.
Analyze existing process gaps and develop solutions to close them. Drive towards simple, scalable solutions to difficult problems.
Hybrid 50 % onsite in New Hampshire (Merrimack/Southern NH)
Travel domestically will be required (<10%)

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor s Degree and 10 years or more related experience.
Strong business acumen, understanding of capital and expense process.
Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
Defense Market Experience (preferred)
Microsoft Project (preferred)
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $96470 - $164010
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
